Paternity Testing

Because almost every cell in a person’s body contains his or her unique DNA, swabbing a cheek (buccal swab) is a safe and easy way to collect the sample.  The inside of the cheek is gently swiped with a soft cotton swab, sealed in its own envelope, labeled for ID purposes and send to our lab.  Paternity testing can be used to:

• Positively identify biological father of a child

• Determine whether twins are fraternal or identical

• Provide a graphic representation of an individual’s DNA pattern
